This time of year can be hectic, to say the least. What most people crave is an escape from the hustle and bustle, the crowds and especially the noise of it all. I would like to make a suggestion. Eight Wine Bar is your secret place of retreat, to sip the wines of the world, unwind with friends, old and new, and to nibble on a bite to eat from the fun menu of Chef Derek Kennedy.

As you may know, Cosmopolitan Toronto Center Hotel and Spa is part of Luxe Collection of hotels world wide.

Good news: I became a Canadian citizen a month ago, and you know what? I got the citizenship on my actual birthday, so we had a triple party that all my devoted staff has arranged: my new citizenship (which I am very proud of), my birthday and to be honest that is my 40th birthday!

Christmas is soon approaching.  It is a time for giving, sharing and helping those less fortunate then ourselves.  We, at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Spa, are thrilled to be able to donate some blankets and sheets to the Salvation Army Gateway.  This organization is a shelter and drop-in center for adults in the downtown core of Toronto.

The 2008 Toronto Film Festival swept through the city earlier this September. Our hotel was bustling with stars, producers, and movie lovers. This year we were the host hotel for the Rally for Kids with Cancer.

It takes teamwork for each of us to succeed. The Cosmopolitan Experience is the collective effort of all of us working together. We value and respect each other’s efforts and are loyal to one another. We strive to bring positive spirit, energy and enthusiasm to all that we do.

I hope you are enjoying the last days of the summer vacation here in Toronto and outside. As you must know by now, The Cosmopolitan Hotel is ideally situated on a quiet street in the central hub of Toronto. But just like our zen-environment, you don’t need to join the hustle and bustle outside the hotel’s doors if you don’t want to! Here are some suggestions on how you can enjoy this area of the city, without having to become city slickers.

According to other publications, by 2010 50(!)% of the travelers will book their hotel stay via internet.
