A
RESTAURANT NAMED "POISON"
Now open – Doku
15 at the Cosmopolitan Toronto Hotel
Toronto>, Ontario - March 31, 2006 - It's official, Doku
15 has opened its doors
at Toronto's newest lifestyle hotel - Cosmopolitan
Toronto (
www.cosmotoronto.com). From
the same ?ber-social personality behind Blowfish,
Hammam Spa,
Century Room and a host of other such high-profile
Toronto hotspots, Zark Fatah presents Doku
15 (
www.doku15.com).
Evolving out of the highly successful Blowfish Restaurant
and Sake Bar, partners Zark Fatah and Master Chef G.Q. Pan's
second restaurant Doku
15 is an Asian-themed, resto-lounge-bar,
serving — along with good vibes — an array of
innovative dim-sum, gourmet sushi and Asian tapas traditions.
While the origin of the name is derived from the Japanese
word for poison, this new dining concept may be worth the
consequences.
Experience a culinary
infusion of the finest elements of Japanese cuisine masterfully
mixed with the tantalizing flavours of the exotic east.
Chef G.Q. Pan places emphasis on the savoury and sweet elements
that provide maximum and immediate sensory appeal. Lemongrass,
smoked salmon, duck and tuna are some of the staples that
comprise Doku's appealing menu, highlighted by luxury ingredients
such as Hirayako Caviar and Kristapsons smoked salmon.
In concert with
a modern multi-layered and texturized interior, courtesy
of designer and partner Antonio Tadrissi (Tadrissi Design
Group) and Core Architects, the luxuriously designed environment promises to
provide social interaction between the dining and lounge
areas -capturing the essence of a great supper club.
The Doku 15 experience
reflects a passion to create inspired dining that touches
emotions and leaves memories using the elements of; innovative
cuisine, impeccable service, stunning design and the intangible
yet absolutely necessary vibe. Complete this journey for
the palette with an uncompromising level of service and
meticulous attention to detail from its start to completion.
This is Doku 15.
Doku 15's lounge
accommodates up to 75 people with a dining room
that seats 46 and a private dining area seating
nine. Doku 15 will be open Monday to Saturday from 5:30pm and will be open for lunch starting in May 2006.
