Sylvia Noble, Energy Consultant, Cosmopolitan Toronto
Owner, Nature's Elements
From the time she was born in Newfoundland, Canada, Sylvia Noble learned and practiced natural medicine. Growing up in an isolated fishing village, Noble did not have access to traditional doctors nor medical care and found that learning how to use natural remedies was crucial. With her British
mid-wife grandmother as her teacher, Noble quickly mastered the trade, and today uses her connection with nature to create healing fountains and natural gemstone remedies.
Her interest in natural medicine led Noble to study physics, advance numerology, the Kabala, yoga,
I Ching and Mystic Sufism. In 1970, Noble was drawn to Europe and Asia where she sought and found her teacher at a church in Vienna. The seventh generation master fountain artisan who created water designs as a hobby quickly became her mentor. This soon became Noble's passion, and today she creates Fountains of Well-Being in her Toronto-based store, Nature's Elements. She also sells stones and crystals from all over the world that embrace the principles of earth's energy.
Noble's fountains have been commissioned by celebrities such as Barbra Streisand, Liam Neeson, Alanis Morissette, Jerry Seinfeld, and Steve Tyler, to name a few. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver requested a special fountain for the Dalai Lama's birthday. The Bush Family Foundation (President) commissioned her to custom build her largest design yet - an eight-foot solid Swiss granite sphere on a black African granite base weighing in at 15,000 tons erected at a campus in Florida.
In addition to creating fountains, Noble acts as an energy consultant directing the design and décor of celebrities' homes and hotels like the Cosmopolitan Toronto. For the Cosmopolitan, Noble choreographed the flow of energy within each element of the construction and design to increase the flow of oxygen and energy in the hotel. Floor to ceiling windows create "light energy," while deep brown and slate features ground the energy and soft blue accents calm the energy.
She also developed a line of natural and botanical body products. Shizen Spa Gemstone Essence amenities aptly named for its natural beauty and purity are exclusive to the Cosmopolitan. The line, including specialty hair care, lotions, bath gels and foot care, captures the energy generated by the actual semi-precious stones used in each of the eight amenities and accessories representing the eight chakras.
Today, Noble and her husband, an Austrian doctor, share their time between Canada and Austria.
